DLP technology is already widely in use all around the world. You’ll find it in office projectors, used to share marketing, sales, and training presentations, in home theaters, video walls, used in command and control centers used by telecommunications and utility companies, in commercial entertainment applications such as during concerts, corporate events, and at casinos, as well as in projection systems for groups (in classrooms, at conventions centers, and in religious centers).
More and more movie theaters are also adopting DLP technology with more than 50,000 screens in North America utilizing the technology.
The Future Is Bright
Conventional 3D projection requires the use of two synchronized projectors, which increases costs and requires projectionists to have a lot of technical knowledge. DLP Cinema 3D projection would reduce costs and eliminate the need for highly technical knowledge because it only needs one projector.
Beyond projection and TVs, other applications that could incorporate its high-definition image creation are:
