Surgical lamps are a medical device that provide optimal, shadow-free, high-intensity lighting for surgical procedures like neurosurgery, dental surgery, endoscopic surgery, and optical surgery. Delicate procedures on small, low-contrast areas of the body require perfect, reliable lighting, which is why operating rooms around the world have a high demand for surgical lamps.
Innovation and technological advancements in operating rooms are one component of the growing market—with more operating rooms and surgical centers, there’s a greater need for surgical lamps.
Another driver behind market growth is an increased demand for surgeries in general. With improved technologies, lower costs, shorter recovery periods, and a greater range of options, patients are turning in larger numbers to surgery for relief of a number of ailments, particularly in developed countries.
